python

My first impression of Python is wow, this is a great beginner programming language. The tutorial is pretty good though like all programming guides emphasizes too much on detail that beginners don't need in the beginning (too much on the interpreter when all I want to get to is hello world).

I can see the attraction from nonprogrammers. The language is pretty intuitive and responsive. I can even see people transitioning from Excel if they use alot of functions and scripts.

It's so easy that I could see introducing this language to sixth graders who had a predilection to programming.
