Haiti government gets one penny which is actually $1 million. The government is probably getting more than that due to general graft. So, I checked to see how corrupt is Haiti. Only a few more countries are more corrupt than Haiti: Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Myanmar.
Ipad. Eh. Not a bad price at $499, $829. No pen.

justice
Where is the justice or mercy?
By justice a king gives a country stability, but one who is greedy for bribes tears it down.

music
I became enchanted with another PBS program last night: GP at the Met: The Audition. Alot of good performances but I loved Jamie Barton's performance the best. I miss living next to an opera house. I want this aria to be my background music at all my successes.
Why I like the Daily Show. The entire episode might be offensive to some people however this clip was classic Jon Stewart.

argument
I love Economist debates area. Current debate: This house believes that women in the developed world have never had it so good. Talk about lighting a match. That's a debate.
The word Orwellian is being used too much.

FB founder says people don't want privacy.
I think most people just do not realize how much of their information is out on the web. A prequel to Battlestar Galactica, Caprica brought up the idea that AI could be generated from all searches pertaining to one's identity. I don't think that could happen. Though, with more information kept digitally, one could get a surface image of a person. If we leave small snippets of ourselves online, somebody out there will gather them all together. Whether it's your long-lost friend, marketer, or your future employer, I think one needs to be careful to know what is out there.
On another topic, I have to recommend Passing Strange with a note. I enjoyed the movie version and wish I could have seen it live. Drug use is a prominent theme and this was the only part I didn't like. The story highlights how a man's musical journey was scattered with drug use. Again, another display of how drug use is an integral part of one part of society. I think we are being habituated to believe that drugs are an acceptable part of our culture. The argument for the legalization of drugs is tied to drug economics. However, the drug market isn't the real problem, it's the buyers. So, the buyers and users are causing the quick destruction of a neighbor.

Who thinks this lecture by Richard Dawkins would not sound the same in a Southern accent? In case you haven't heard of Ted.

From my recent perusing, what is in your drink? Fortunately, I'm sipping home-made tea.
Those crazy Japanese animators... They should dub these in English and use it in science classes.
Enough about the blogs, tweets, and FB status changes from the CES. Can something be over-publicized?
My favorite tweet from Steve Ballmer's speech:
If you did a shot every time you heard the word Bing, you would've died ten minutes ago from alcohol poisoning.
I have had HP tablet pc for over a year. It's novel use of a computer; great for studying. However, my HP runs hot, really hot.
