This flu activity is definitely different. The good news is the lack of resistance. It'll be interesting to see how quickly it happens. RNA viruses are prone to higher rates of mutation. Also, I'm sure that there's a person out there looking for the particular mutations it would take for the neuraminidase inhibitor resistance to occur. Then, it could wheedled down to a probability.
Interesting article about resistance and pandemics. Bad news is we are doomed.
