news

Who knew? Sickle cell disease spreading among Latin Americans.(pdf)

For my labmate who doesn't believe CO2 is a problem and thinks the greenhouse effect is an economic ruse.

money

I've used large and small banks and I'm keeping a close eye on these bank failures. One should also know this information about bank deposits.

I am a believer. I do not believe the US government will let Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fail.

Freddie lost $3.5 billion in 2007; Fannie reported a $2.2 billion loss in the first quarter, having lost $2.05 billion last year.(Economist)

More news about the US economy. Hold on to your hats people, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

tour

I started to follow the Tour de France recently. However, I didn't realize it was a learning opportunity with the Ricco scandal. CERA has only a placeholder in Wikipedia. But, you can find out all about Erythropoietin.
