speed
I'm amazed at the speed of the legislative action when it comes to what is truly important. Right now, it seems to be rebates. Again, I remind people that rebate isn't the same as a tax cut; it just means that people get their refund a little earlier. I'm not sure how much it really stimulates the economy since you are simply moving an event that would already have happened earlier. In addition, I know I'm not planning on using the money to buy more things. But news like this and the interest rate cut does seem to be having an effect on the stock market.
