Recently, I was standing in line for a pass when I read on the window, "Thank you for your corporation." Sometimes, it's not what you say but what you choose not to say.

travel
I always have to remind myself that traveling outside of one's own country is not very common. Most people do not get to experience the thrill of being immersed in a new culture, challenged in one's perceived notions, or humbled by the beauty of the world.
Recently, I encountered the generiousity and hospitality of another people group. I was floored by their patience and eagerness to know us who sometimes muck and shred their customs and traditions.

I stumbled onto this comic recently.
Recently, I was struck by potential results of a company strategy session. Only a year ago, I was sitting down listening to someone offer a strategy direction for a company. This strategy direction would have not only affected the company but also directly affected certain peoples' lives. At the time, I didn't see it as a viable strategy but it was an interesting idea. In my global strategy class, we were taught to look at strategy objectively but I've seen recently, it's also about affecting peoples' livelihoods. Strategy cannot be considered in a vacuum.
