puzzle
Rising tide lifts all boats.
As I watch the currect economy, I see no other truth more in action. Again, we are at the peaks of market.
I think everybody should listen to at least one company's financial presentation. In no other time ever, has there been more opportunities to peer into company's financials and operations. Somtimes, it's eyes rolled over boring and sometimes, you get good information about the industry.
It would be interesting being the CEO, being up there by yourself, describing, defending, and forecasting company results. What a job.
I want this.

sovereignty
I don't like stories like these because I feel it puts one country's citizens at risk in the future because of precedent. Consulate grounds are considered that nation's sovereignty. And, this story displays the bias by both the BBC and CNN. Last year, I was accused of reading biased news stories. I read news from many different perspectives.
The last time that the minimal wage was raised, I was working for minimal wage. That $.35 made a big difference in my life. It's still not a living wage.
I wholeheartly agree with Geithner. His name just doesn't roll of the tongue the same way.
I love José Feliciano's voice and music.

cultural awareness
My friend and I were chatting this weekend when she made a comment that made me think about cultural awareness. She works with many Internationals and made a comment about the differences b/w her actions and somebody else's actions and how that connected to the different values in each culture. It made me realize that though she had been born and raised in one culture, she had developed a sensitivity to other cultures that I never see unless someone has been raised in two different cultures. This, I feel, goes beyond tolerance.
Wow. He was an interesting guy.

liability
This is one of the reasons I'm not sure that YouTube's price should have been so high. It's either an open or closed system.

happy new years
Quality control is sometimes very subjective. Most people do quality control by looking at only one part. It's like trying to guess an elephant by feeling the rough skin. However, quality controls that monitor scenarios are more likely to detect fraud.
