American Edmund S. Phelps did win the 2006 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences as predicted by WSJ. Interesting theories on why there isn't a Nobel prize for math. I personally like the idea of the jilted boyfriend.

Does anyone else feel that WSJ is like People magazine for financial nerds?
