strength in diversity

Prejudice goes deeper than what we can see. It's difficult for anyone to accept someone who is different from them, even more so to appreciate their difference. People's mindsets are hardened early in life and most people are blind to their own prejudices. I find as I grow older that despite our changing world, prejudices are more prevalent than ever. I think we have just become better at covering them up. It's difficult to say that I am different than you but together we can be stronger than each of us individually. I like companies like PepsiCo and Nissan who are willing to take a risk. These boards may find they are the ones who are acting more risk averse.

On another topic, I'm curious to see what Sears will do next.
