hearing and listening

It's good to hear that Apple might be phasing out the new Video iPod. I wouldn't be surprised to hear later that pushing the product out was a marketing idea or even Jobs'. This product was never a good fit in the marketplace because even before it came out, the general feeling on the Net was that it was not up to current video standards. Apple spends a great deal of effort to listen to its users and this is just the evidence.

On other topic of management styles. Recently, someone mentioned that you can't really change your management style. I believe there are some things you can't change and some things you can imitate. I think that if you really think about how your processes are set up and what style that may infer, your style will be perceived differently. Actions speak louder than words. All part of the learning experience.
