decisions

Katrina emergency is continously revealing the effects of bad decisions. People who make bad decisions are like viruses. They can lie hidden for years making small mistakes and then, quickly become the meanest virus out there. And like viruses, they spread while those who make good decisions go unnoticed.

Good decision making is connected to principles. If you don't know you have them or have bad ones, you will eventually see the consequences of your actions. The Katrina aftermath also shows that how you handle your bad decisions is revealing of your ability to make decisions.

I really feel like I have gotten to this weird place where rejection, like, or bombing or things like that is kind of like it's a good kind of pain. Like you get a shot to the ribs sometimes and you go, eh, I'm alive, you know what I mean? Like it doesn't -- it doesn't -- you get to a certain baseline where you feel confident in your ability to do that tiny little thing that you do. And the other stuff that you've been allowed to do is sort of gravy, and if it doesn't work out, that's really all right.

Stop producing websites that say nothing! What's Origami? Is it an iPod or a TabletPC? It's priced right in between.

Not a joke in some companies. Fakers are really good fakers.

John Bolton has definitely proven himself worthy of the UN ambassador post. The online version of the Economist has an article about the UN.

Globalisation vs. economic nationalism. I don't understand why more global businessmen miss this issue entirely. It's like the idea, "We can do it better" somehow doesn't get translated or worse, respected. So many things get lost in translation. The question is can you align staff overseas to see the company rather than country of origin?
