use what you produce

I think each project manager should be forced to use the products that create. If they are built poorly, they should be made to use it on a monthly basis. The Social Security Administration (SSA) contact system either kicks you out or gives you a busy signal. At least at Verizon, I got a clueless person.

I recently was told that my IT experience is mainly on the web. It's true but now most business systems are on the web or going to the web. Also, my IT experience is also inclusive of many years in database design, development, management, and analysis. This db work is invaluable. Who would have thunkit?

I strongly believe that IT is a subset of doing business. You can't stay competitive without understanding how to make your decisions. More and more, you need to understand how to use technology to make better decisions.
