it's simple, stupid

Complexity exists everywhere around us, from our environment to our workplace. However, we desire to work simply. It's not that systems need to be more simple, it is that we need an simple interface that hides the complexity.

I think we deny complexity because we don't want the trouble of actually thinking yet that is what separates us from computers. When you stop thinking at your job, it's the first sign that you are replaceable.

I can definitely empathize about giving your brain a break sometimes but it worries me when people look for systems or processes to put in place that allows them not to think.
